crossword puzzle for you?the good thing about staying in a big 'family' is that we have good food everyday. haha... this week is the asian food special week!! there's smtg special everyday... today we just had ba choh mee... and for the past few days we had chicken rice, 咸菜鸭汤 aka salty-vegetable-duck soup, watercress soup, and i cant rmb what we had on monday liao. oPpS. =X too many good food to rmb.. heh~curry and bak kut teh was on the menu last week too.... *slurp*
but the bad thing abt having so many good chefs in the house is that... there's nothing that i can cook and they cant!!!!! >_< and being not a very creative, experimental, and most of all, good cook... i am reduced to just following orders from the chef of the day. haha... but i dun mind though! i dun like cooking.... and all the more dun like thinking of what to cook for the day!! siaaaaanz man.. =P yeah... that's why i like being brainless and just follow instructions... ^^
have been so busy man... and as usual, the busier one gets, the lesser one blogs. ya i know u have heard this till sianz liao... cos even i oso said it till i sianz too... haha... so i shall just leave that as it is and moved towards being a permanent less-frequent blogger. heh~
busy with what, u might be thinking. busy with TV that's for sure... recently i was a little hooked to this show. not really a drama show... but it's called 'The Greatest British Quiz' (i think so...). heard of it? there's basically a crossword puzzle to solve and viewers by the TV can call in to guess the answer. if they guess correctly then of cos there's alot of money to be won!! what intrigued me the most in this show... is how the host is able to just keep on talking and talking about the same thing, e.g. the prize is enormous!, just have to call in.. there's nothing to lose (except the 1pound u pay per call...haha!), i'm sure you have an answer... why not just give it a try, etc. and what's more amazing is that there's this host who can keep her head at an angle to the camera so that it can only capture her left face... and that lasted for at least the hour i spent watching her, wondering when she'll move her head~
anyway, if u are interested in crossword puzzle, here is the one that has been on the screen for DAYS... the prize money accumulated to a total of 15,000 pounds the last time i watched it. it's
WIN_OW,
B_LL,
DO_E,
T_AR.
the four _ are to form a word. if you can guess it, maybe you can call in and try ur luck! (gosh.... i sound like that host!! >.< )
ok TV aside.. timetable this year as compared to the previous 2 yrs is definitely much more relaxed. at last... i can breathe. and finally, i have caught up with some frens who used to tell me they just have 3-4 hrs of lesson/day. but of cos... i still cannot compare with them lah... they now only have an 8 hr work week. BLEAH!!
oh.... and i realize i like being the first or second one to wake up in the house, even though i onli woke up at 11.30am. hahaha... still a good feeling though. =)

男人结婚,是家里多了一个人;女人结婚,是换了一个家!recently there hasn't been much time to even sit down in front of my laptop for a significant amt of time to check my email regularly, not to say blog. today is a sunday, but other than completing my spanish hmwk, i didn't do anithing else academic. heh... too much entertainment at home. =P however i do love the feeling of everyone sitting in front of the tv and laugh at some stupid shows. haha...
the urge to blog came after reading
this from enxin's blog. it's pretty sad... disappointing... heartwrenching... even scary. hopefully it doesn't happen to all cases, even though deep down i think i kinda believe that that's usually the case. nah... i'm not thinking much abt it. just feel like sharing it with more pple... however it's only limited to those who can read traditional chinese. sorry to those who cant~ it's too long for me to translate, i'm not a good translator at all and i guess one can only understand better thru the exact words used by the author.

power essay
an exciting well-travelled dryer cum fridgemy current household bought a dryer from my previous household. i expected all the trouble carrying the dryer from house to house... but i never expected this dryer to have an even more exciting time!
to begin with, the well-travelled dryer was moved from (let's forget abt the argos delivery part =P ) emperor's gate to kenway (where it's stored over summer), then to queens gate (jac's household mistook it for hers and carried it back), back to kenway and finally to gloucester. it's amazing that the dryer is still working after these long distance journeys... haha.. but nothing can be compared to the sufferings it had when it was mistaken as a fridge.
melvin, weilun and i went to kenway to collect our dryer from marvin's place. the two strong guys went to the kitchen to carry the dryer... they smelt something bad and marvin apologised for the smell in his kitchen. so they neglected the smell and carried the dryer down the steep staircase. at the ground floor, all 3 of us smelt smtg bad again... i tot it was due to the renovation tat's going on in the house next to us.. so we just left the place quickly. along the way, weilun and melvin complained of the same smell again. it was a rotting stench. we concluded tat it came from the dryer and wondered how the stench came about... was it due to the dust?? how could it be!? or... was there a dead rat?? not impossible! i was confused and worried at the same time. are we able to dry our clothes in that kind of stench?
finally the two guys manage to endure throughout the entire journey and the dryer arrived in our kitchen. we opened the dryer, a fly flew out, and we took out the pipe from inside to wash it. i keep spraying air freshener into the dryer hoping to overpower the smell. after a short while, i look into the dryer and took out a plastic bag of stuff, wondering what it was. could it be the dryer's accessories?? i dun rmb having any leh... i touched it by accident and it felt soft and jelly-ish, like that of a damp towel. not able to recognise the contents by looking through the white plastic bag, i went about untying the knot. accidentally dropped the bag while untying and i got to see the other side of the bag. a sticker on it said.... 'cod fillet'.
"cod fillet... what's tat? fillet... a fish right?? WAT?? A FISH!!!??? AAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!"
yeah i dropped the bag immediately and, cant rmb if i screamed, but i knew i was traumatised for several minutes after that. so that's where the ROTTING stench came from. and... gosh!! did the fly that flew out of the dryer hatched from the maggots feasting in that plastic bag of COD FILLET??? aaaArghh.... and to think i touched it and was so near to opening the bag!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!! >_<
no... i dowan to think about it. and how coincidentally, we had fish for dinner that night. how yummy. -_-"
and i am still very keen in knowing who's so clever to mistake a dryer for a fridge.

*#$&*#^%*%&_$_@#$*&$^($%i am frustrated and sad. GRAAAAR....
it always happened to me. last year i was the only one who couldn't connect to my household internet. all the :( then :) then :( then :) then...etc if u can rmb in my blog post last year. this year, it happened AGAIN. the previous post was made when the internet was just up and running and my laptop was happily online. then i suddenly disappeared from the web world for the next few days cos the modem din seem to be working. then our newly bought mega power modem was delivered to our place today and i happily went online for a few min. was talking halfway to some ppl on msn when all of a sudden i disappeared offline. i tot it's just some usual connection problem and tried re-connecting. i never know that's gonna be the last time my laptop could go wireless. *sob*
i oso duno what happened or why... i wasted the whole of bingrong's and edwin's day today as they tried to find out what's wrong and come up with as many solutions they could think of. all to no avail. feel so guilty and paiseh. that's why i give up hope oredi. i've accepted my fate. i just have to go and buy a 7.5m long cable from the union shop tml and connect it from the modem all the way to my room for the rest of this year. *cry* i so feel like having a vulgar diarrhoea... is that the right term? bah.

back in londoni've safely landed in London and settled down in my new house.. a single room to myself!!! wOoHoOoO... well, not fully unpacked yet... but good enough for these few days b4 lesson starts. and thanx to joseph who came back pretty early to set up almost everything, i'm now using the internet from the comfort of my room!! YiPeEeeE~
being on the top floor, i.e. 6th floor, i have a pretty good view out of my room!! especially the sunset... heh~ of cos that would oso mean that the sun would shine directly into my room in the afternoon & evening... but i'm not worrying abt tat for now. i like the sun and its warmth. there's still a long way b4 the heat in the summer comes... =P
however being on the top floor oso means i need to take the lift!!! k... at least dun haf to climb 6 storeys of stairs... but, the lift in my building is so ancient!!! the door is manual, i.e. the grills looking 'sliding' door need to be open and close by hand~! if someone who came out of the lift on another floor forgot to close the door, u can forget abt waiting for the lift cos the lift will never descend. not only that, the 'safety certificate' u usually see on the wall of the lift has also been taken down. and wat's worse is the taking of the lift alone, especially after it gets dark, cos that can be quite scary. well... quite an experience lah hor..
hmm... everything has been pretty good so far. of cos, having previous household experience helped, but being in a single room helped so much more... haha!! k lah, i'm just happy to get my single room. heehee... hopefully this year would be a good one! =) i'm now a year 3... piangz, SO OLD!!!!!! >_< i tink i belong to one of those "unfriendly and anti-social" yr 3 senior whom the freshers will never know she exists. haha.. =P aiya... old liao mah. leave the fun and excitement to the youngsters bah. LoL~!
