An eventful saturday nightIt was such a fun night! Although the earlier part was a little awkward (well.. i tried my best. How do you face an ex's gf?), I love the late night chat! The conversations were so interesting and hilarious and time just whizzed passed. Amazing company there... Interesting how everyone managed to come together from all over the place and get to know each other just because of one person. I'm totally blessed to have such friends, sometimes I even wonder what I have done to deserve them. Really grateful.
And so we finally dispersed, quite reluctantly, as least for me. I reached home at ard 3am thinking of just having a quick shower and sleep till the next day.
The moment I closed the bathroom door, I heard a sudden gush of water outside the bathroom. I was wondering if it's my sis at the tap washing her hand or smtg.. but sounds like she's using an abnormal amt of water eh? So I opened the door to check out what she's doing... and to my horror, I saw a huge volume of water gushing from the water hose! It won't be long before my house flood and I can so see the figure in our next water bill.
This can't be real, can it? I tried to woke myself up from my sleepy state and rushed back to my room to look for my specs while informing my sis of a crisis in the house. She went to woke my mum up, and I hurried downstairs to switch off the main water valve to my house. Wasn't an easy job for me though, since I haven't done it before so I don't know which one of the four valves down there belongs to my house, and exactly which part of the spindle should the spanner be placed at to turn the valve. Thinking back, I was really stupid lar. Isn't it obvious which part of the spindle should be turned? Furthermore, it doesn't help that I was given the wrong information on which of the four valves belong to my house... so I think I spent quite a bit of time turning off other houses' valves. Thank goodness it's night time and everyone should be sleeping.
For a while, there's this sense of deja vu that this could very well be a mini version of what could have happened at my work place. So that's the kind of panic/timeframe it could have been. Sou desu ne.
Hence the crisis is temporary resolved, and I had to bathe using the water collected in the pails. I didn't know I could shower with only 1.5 buckets of water! I always thought I need at least 2 or 3. This totally feels like water rationing.
Oh well, hopefully by tomorrow we can get a replacement hose so that we can resume our water usage normally.
What a night.

Overheating AGAIN!I'm getting frustrated with my laptop. It hibernates on me every 10min!! I couldn't even watch each part of my korean drama in peace w/o it getting cut off halfway. It's driving me mad!!
I'm going to seriously think about getting a replacement. I thought I had missed the COMEX fair.. but looks like there's gonna be some sort of special staff promotions!
Too bad there's no Apple Promotion though. Otherwise i may consider buying smtg pretty. hehe.. The choice is btw Fujitsu and Toshiba. At least both reputable brands. So should I go for a normal laptop, a tablet PC, or a mini?? hmmm...
I need more cash!

It's nothing complexToday at work, I was talking to a colleague - who is already a mother of a married daughter. She was asking whether I watched the show '今生注定我爱你' on TV. Of cos I did, in fact, I've already finished watching the show last year.
Then she told me.. she likes to watch these kind of shows very much, because it always melts her heart to see how devoted the guy is to the female lead and how well he treats her.
And she says... no matter what age you are, it's still the same. Woman are just such simple creatures.. why don't the man understand?
To which my reply was... I think they understand. They just don't really care.
