Moving onTwo days ago, it is exactly one year. So I should have taken it down two days ago. However I still leave it there, partly because I don't feel any difference having or without it, and another part because I thought I may be 'excused' more easily if it is shown. But some people tell me others will tend to 'take advantage' of me when they see it being displayed, so I should remove it.
I think out of sentimental value, I still haven't taken it down. Definitely, someday I will. But now, it is still proudly at the front and back of my car.
On a totally different topic, I didn't realize I'm starting to have a favourite colour! I never used to have one, and even when I had to choose, it's always blue or black or white. Or sometimes yellow. But in a recent event when I went out for movie with a group of peeps on National Day Eve, it so happened that almost everyone was wearing something white or red. And me being late (what's new..), I arrived and the first sentence I heard was: I knew you will be wearing something red-ish! True enough, I'm wearing something purplish-pink (shades of red) that day without realizing National Day is just on the next day.
Today looking through my wardrobe, I realized I've indeed quite a number of red tops, all of them were bought over the past yr. In addition, I have a red phone, a red bag, a red laptop, and I guess I'm just lacking a pair of red shoes. haha.. To think that many years ago, I would never get any red stuff cos I thought it's too girly/striking. People do change eh?

must lun...Have I ever mentioned... the type of guy which never fails to 'create an impression' in me, are the ones who are pretty tall, fair or even white (I'm not referring to the race here), physically nuah, and even speak nuah-ly. No hints of masculinity at all.
It's not that I want to be unfriendly. I tried. I did, but instinct just make me repel away.
Is it punishment or what... this type of guys just seem to appear in my life. And it only gets worse. As if nagging like an old man paying attention to too much unnecessary details is not enough, it's coupled with the hundred thousands of 'whys' and irritating whining like a kid. Superb deadly combination.
I hope our paths won't ever cross again, though it's gonna be very unlikely. HELP!

all about the timesIt's like making up for the lost times. Being overseas for several years, I think I've missed out on some of the things which I should have experienced then. And I'm making up for them now, albeit with a body which is now less resistant to fatigue.
It had been fun, coming up with random things to try out and doing impromptu stuff. Even if it's crazy, as long as you are in a group, it would appear to be more fun than embarrassing. And being in a group means you can take a back seat at times, just watching and letting things flow; and also being able to just join in as and when you like, without being judged or prejudiced. I'm glad to be able to find a gang where I can be so at ease, and is thankful for it.
Just caught the show 'Definitely, Maybe' in a drive-in movie event.
April: “Forget about the 'real' deal. You don’t find it, it finds you…you know, when you are ready for marriage, a mortgage…(other examples)...the person that you are with THEN is the one." To a certain extent, this is true isn't it?
And I'm now wondering whether I should sleep a bit later to catch the sunrise, or just fall asleep without waiting for my hair to dry.

Will you...?I rmb I used to upload stories or jokes which I received through emails and thought was worth sharing. I was going through my past emails just now.. and came across this.
***************************
My husband is an engineer by profession, I love him for his steady-being nature, and I love the warm feeling while leaning against his broad shoulder. Three years in the courtship and now, two years into marriage, I would have to admit, I am getting tired of it, the reasons of me loving him before has now transform into the cause of all the restlessness.
I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive and exquisite when it comes to relationship and feelings, I yearn for romantic moments, as though a little boy yearning for candy. And my husband, is just a contrast of me, his lack of sensitivity, and of all, inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about love.
One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I want a divorce.
"Why?" he asked, shockingly."I am tired, there aren't reasons for everything in the world" I answered.
He kept silent the whole night, seemed to be in deep thoughts the whole night with a cigarette lighted all the time.My feeling of disappointment is getting intense, a man who can't even express his detainment, what else can I hope from him?
And finally he asked, " What can I do to change your mind?"
Somebody said it right, it's hard to change a person's personality, and I guess, I have started losing faith in him.
Looking deep into his eyes, I slowly answered, "Here is a question, if you can find the answer in my heart, I will change my mind, Let's say, I love a flower at a mountain cliff, and we are both sure that making you pick the flower will cause death, will you do it for me?"
He said, " I will give you your answer tomorrow...."
My heart just sank by listening to his respond.
The next morning, he was not around, and I saw a piece of paper with his scratching writing, underneath a glass of warm milk, It goes....
"Dear,
I would not pick that flower for you, but please allow me to further explain the reasons"
This first line had already broken my heart. I continued reading.
"You can only type with computer and always mess up the programs in the PC, and cry in front of the screen, I have to save my fingers so that I can help restore the programs.
You always leave the house key behind, I have to save my legs to rush home to open the door for you.
You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city, I have to save my eyes to lead you the way.
You always have the cramp whenever your "good friend" approaches every month, I have to save my palm so that I can calm the cramps at your tummy.
You like to stay indoor, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism. I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom.
You always stare at the computers, and that do no good to your eyes, I have to save my eyes so that when we grow older, I can help to clip your nails, and help to remove those annoying white hairs.
I will hold your hand, stroll down the beach, enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful sands... tell you the colour of flowers, just like the glow on your young face...
Thus, my dear, only when I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than I do... I would then pick the flower, and die.. "
My tears dropped on the letters, and blurred the ink of his hand writing... and I resumed my reading...
"And now, dear... you have finished reading my answer, if you are satisfied with these answers, please open the door of our house, I am standing there, with your favorite bread and fresh milk...
I rushed to pull open the door, and saw his anxious face, with his hand holding tight on the milk and bread....
Oh I am sure no one ever love me as much, and now I have decided to leave the flower alone...
That's life, or some said, love, when one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitement fades away, and one tend to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness.
Love shows in any form, even a very little and corny form, it has never been a model, it could be the most incurious form... flowers, romantic moments is only the buckish formed on the surface of the relationship.
Under all this, the pillar of true love stands... and that's our life...
The insignificantNothing has changed actually. The fact remained the same. The world is still moving forward everyday. Everyone minding their own business, doing their part.
Ignorance is bliss. I guess now I know why you had asked me that question. To seek some form of affirmation right.. I recall my reply was reassuring.
Will it be the same? I hoped so, though with the way things go.. i'm not sure. I don't get close unless I can feel the genuine sincerity and see my significance. Otherwise I'll just fade away and watch from afar. If you don't need my presence anymore, why impose and be a nuisance?
I should just shut up and go.

Happy Birthday Singapore!I like this year's NDP!!! Kudos to the organising committee! The programme finally has a focus and is more structured instead of just massive of people running ard. I love all the songs remix, especially the National Anthem!! It's the best version I've heard so far, and with fireworks adding on to the atmosphere. Great job!! For once, it captured my attention throughout the ceremony. Well done!
The fireworks are good too.. at the beginning the small star & heart-shaped fireworks can be clearly seen with a few decorating ard the stage, then slowly more and bigger fireworks followed to hype up the atmosphere, and finally the use of the same coloured fireworks to end it with a blast. Very well thought out in my opinion! Either that, or the camera man did a good job this yr capturing the concept of it clearly. heh..
Just a pity I didn't get to watch the fireworks at site this year.

Same old me'You have not changed since I last know you!'
wow... all along I've been receiving comments saying that 'you look v different now!' and now suddenly out of nowhere, a totally opposite comment?
After a quick analysis, there may be some truth in it after all. This comment came from my primary 1-4 classmate, who only last rmb me when I was in P3 (somehow he don't rmb me in P4). Whereas the other comments came from people who know me later (say in sec sch or jc..) So if all are true, the conclusion is that... I changed for the worse as I went into sec sch, and slowly changed back to my original look as I entered uni. Make sense?
Meeting people from the past is still a very sensitive issue to me. Some people may move on, some may still hold on to the baggage.. there may be some whom you feel apologetic/guilty towards but didn't remedy then... there may be conflicts which you have long forgotten, there may be some who still hold on tightly to it. They used to be your best friends, and now when you meet again, you are just acquaintances. Feel kinda strange and awkward to me. Like, meeting a "stranger" and get to know you once more. And you may not be the same you eons ago. All you can talk abt enthusiastically are the past memories.
But at the same time, I do want to meet these people again. I dare say I'm one of the few who still remember most of my classmates' names. I'm the kind who 念旧 but don't show bah? So for those who are still active in my life now, pls be assured that I do treasure you all... I'm just not so good at expressing it.
