failed pumparrrrrrgh crap.
the pump which i've been working on for this whole academic year failed. It failed the leak test. The three possible reasons given by the co-ordinator of this programme for all the failed pumps are:
1. The pump is seized, the impeller will not turn.
2. The Bearing housing diameter is over-sized and will not fit the test rig.
3. There is an excessive water leak (usually through the bearing housing)
After looking through the detailed but not that obvious evaluation of my group's pump test, it seems like the problem is either the 2nd or 3rd reason stated. Bah... no matter wat, it failed. =(
Hmm... even though half of the module's marks is allocated to this entire pump tingy, I am sad not mainly because i'm worried of the possibililty of failing my coursework... i am sad because the pump couldn't work!!!!! The pump we spent so much time and effort in doing for the whole academic yr..... ='( why... WHY!!!!! *sob*
