old ticket stub and receiptsJust now while trying to look for some spare change to return my sis some money... i found a stack of old ticket stub and receipts. they dated all the way back to 1997... when i was still in sec 1! some of the printing had faded so much i cant even read what it's for. yah... i was one of those ppl who didn't bear to throw away these tings so as to keep them for 'memory' sake. and so i looked thru every single one of them... really brought back quite a number of memories..
most of them are movie tickets. i always tot i'm one of the rare few who dun frequent the cinemas very often.. but wOah... i had actually watched quite alot of movies!!
The Chinese Ghost Story and
Titanic in 1997,
The Prince of Egypt in 1998,
zhen xin hua in 1999,
Meet the Parents and
Generation Y Cops in 2000, and
Harry Potter in 2001. There were some which i never remember existed, not to say rmb watching it, for example
Dinosaur and
Winnie The Pooh. There were also some which i watched with my family when my father suddenly started bringing us out for movie outings... which onli lasted for ard 3 times watching shows like
Mulan and
Money No Enough. There was also one show which was not the blockbuster kind, we randomly picked it without knowing what it's all about but i ended up liking it particularly -
At First Sight.
I still rmb in Sec 1 and 2, i watched most of the movies with this pri sch classmate who was my best fren then... and i was very proud that we were able to keep in contact and remained very good frens for so long. but somehow we drifted apart and didn't really contact each other anymore... sad huh. In Sec 3, I was supposed to meet this recently-found-old-fren for a show... but due to miscommunication, we ended up waiting for each other at different places. but i didn't know that, i tot i was tricked and eventually i angrily bought a ticket for myself and watched the show alone. haha... blame it on us not having a hp which was not tat popular at tat time yet. Sec 4... heh, I was treated to a few movies by some guy frens. could consider those as dates lah? haha... but at tat age, piangz... the so called 'dates' were hilarious and pathetic lar. i tink i onli wasted those guys money.... lol~
Then from 2002 onwards... after getting into a relationship, i kinda reserved all movie trips to one person. or maybe i just didn't keep the stub for movies which i watched with friends. Some shows brought back pretty vivid memories... while some i don't even rmb having watched them. guess that's just being normal right... haha..
other than movie tickets... there are a few receipts of meals and tickets of performances hanging ard. DHS's
Kaleidoscope, CO and EDS performances, VJ Piano Ensemble's
Eighty 8, and lotsa chinese drama performances: DHS's
Rhapsody of Spring, TJ's
Lu Yuan Zhi Ye, NTU's
A Nantah Story, VJ's
hai cheng zhi ye, and of cos the not to be missed HCJC's
huang cheng ye yun whose tickets changed from the lousy easily torn pink paper to the good quality stiff smooth ones with coloured printings.. the price obviously increased too. heh..
and that's it. all the memories brought back to me from just tat stack of papers. sorry if this entry was too long and boring, cos it's going to serve the purpose of registering these memories. i've decided to throw away those tix and receipts. not tat i dun 'treasure' them animore... but i guess i cant keep them forever. i'm not a garang kuni, cannot always keep these kind of tings right.. after all, it's the memories that i want to keep, not those pieces of paper.
