Graduation Trip!as the time to start work press nearer and nearer, the need to 'record' down what i've done so far after exam gets stronger and stronger too. haha... and today, since i've woken up earli in the morning for once, i haf a bit of time to BLOG!! wOoHooO~ and i feel even more proud becos i haf photos to show!!! *beam* hahaha.. but actually tat's bcos pics r worth a thousand words... so i wun need to write too much. =P
My final 10 day graduation eurotrip started of from Amsterdam...
Anne Frank's House - it's amazing how they managed to survive there. Not being able to go out, not even when they see the summer sun! Had to walk ard and talk silently and cant even use the water or flush the toilet in case the workers in the ground floor hear them... and even up till now nobody knows who betrayed them. Heineken with the smiling e, lots of stroopwafels!!!, canals & bicycles everywhere, super windy and gloomy weather, The Dam hahaha ;) The infamous red light district, including both along the main canal and the small alley, which gave us quite some culture shock on the 1st visit. Only pity is the weather wasn't good... it was too cold for the clothes i brought... and i couldn't catch the tulips in Kuekenhof!!

Milan really had nothing much to see other than the Duomo. Even the street with all the Prada and etc is basically juz another shopping street with things you cant buy... so it's not very interesting. Had a really bad experience with all the italian con-man (you can see 1 in action in the photos above trying to put some seeds in the kid's hand in exchange for $$) and end up kena cheated 1 euro. CW shouldn't be stepping into Milan again in the future unless he was forced to. hahaha..
Monaco was amazing! especially after we had came to the conclusion that 'The rest of the world is a better place after having been to Milan!' heh... But other than the fact that we cant afford a hotel room in Monaco itself, it is truly a very gd touristy area!! It's small so the bus system can get u anywhere, it's clean, it has a beautiful view of the Mediterranean sea, there are loads of rich peoples' yachts to gawk at and get jealous, the buildings are stacked nicely on the slopes, and it's super safe becos every other pple u see are tourists too!! haha... it remind us very much of Sentosa, especially with the IR coming up. The only difference is that we wun get hot and sticky there. hee...

And finally PARIS!!! I'm so glad I made this my final destination in the trip because I love it there!!! Eiffel Tower is really an engineering feat and it's so grand and majestic! It's most beautiful at night and whoever thought of making it flicker is very smart!! And the most romantic view of it must be at the Trocadero with the Eiffel Tower right ahead with the fire-jugglers in the foreground performing skillfully and steadily with some soothing music in the background!! It was so peaceful, calming, beautiful and romantic. The guys were so skillful and the atmosphere was soo good tat people juz willingly took out money from their purse and went forward to put them into the hat lying on the ground to show their appreciation.

The rest of Paris was just as lovely.. Notre Dame, arc de triomphe, the super-crowded-yet-grand Louvre, Sacre Coeur, The Moulin Rouge which pales so much in comparison with Amsterdam's red light district and it's not at all similar to the one portrayed in the movie!!, Versailles, and MORE!! And i really like the grand boulevards in Paris... they are not just spacious, it was also for, am i right to say, military purpose! It was very wide so that people could not juz grab a few benches to block the road up easily!!! And thank goodness the place was not totally demolished during the world war... it would be sad to imagine how paris would be like without all these monuments and builidings.

London's weather was bad... but Paris one is worse!!! In London, at the most the weather changes from sun to drizzle. But in Paris, not only do the weather change completely in less than 5min, it changes from sun to STORM! gosh... cant even find a place to hide from the rain. And the metro system in Paris is one of the most complicated ones in europe.. although the metro covers almost everywhere in Paris, to get from one point to another usually requires on average 2 changes of line. And one had to walk very far for each interchange!! One of the interchange we made even require us to get out of 1 stn, and walk 200m down a street to connect to the next line! So that's my theory on why the french girls are always so slim... cos they had to walk alot!!! With my lousy fitness, i didn't last very long in Paris... always had to look for seats. =P And even with 4 day to spend, we were still not able to cover Paris totally. hee... but no worries... I am so going to go back there again!!! =)
I enjoyed myself soooo much in this trip and I cant believe that it is my final eurotrip in the near future!! =( Travelling ard europe had been sooo fun... i'm so going to miss the blue skies, the cool/cold no-sweat weather, the high-street shopping, deciphering the different european languages, the cathedrals, all the water-bodies (ponds, lakes, rivers, seas, fountains, pools, lagoons, canals, etc), the bridges, the chips/fries!! haha... , and the speaking in mandarin when u dowan the world to hear what u are saying. hee.. I travelled to sooo many places in this final yr of mine, and I must must must thank 1 particular person for making it possible!!! hehehe... i'm soo sorry i've made u terribly broke my dear, and tat you had to sacrifice ur skiing plans for me.. =P But it's been extremely fun travelling with u... having no stress at all and simply just enjoying the moment. Thank you for tolerating all my craziness and crankiness, and helping me in every way u could. I've enjoyed myself tremendously and i'm sure u did too. hehe... we shall conquer Asia next time ok!!! of cos that will only be after we had recovered from our 'bankruptcy'. heh~ *muaks!!*
